No. The Nook is a web app — it works in any browser on your phone, tablet, or desktop. Nothing to download, nothing to install. If you'd like it to feel like a native app, you can add it to your home screen on iPhone, Android, or desktop in about 10 seconds. See usenook.app/download for step-by-step instructions.
Yes. Every new account gets a 7-day fully featured trial, with the same experience as a paid subscription. No payment details are required upfront.
Unlimited. Sign in on your phone, your laptop, your tablet. All at the same time if you want. There are no device restrictions.
Subscription & billing
Checkout is handled by Gumroad, which accepts all major credit and debit cards. You'll receive a receipt by email immediately after purchase.
No. You pay once. When it expires, nothing happens automatically. No surprise charges. You renew when you're ready.
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds. If you're unsure whether The Nook is right for you, start with the free 7-day trial before buying.
Your data is never deleted. Once your subscription runs out you'll lose access to the app, but when you renew, even months later, everything will be exactly where you left it.
Etsy & redemption codes
After your purchase you'll receive a redemption code via Email. Open the app, go to Settings → Redeem Code, and enter it. Access is activated instantly.
Not all of them. Only selected products include a Nook redemption code. Check the product description on Etsy before buying. If it doesn't mention a code, there isn't one.
Yes, up to a maximum of 2 years of subscription at any one time. If you have extra codes, hold onto them and redeem when your current subscription is close to running out.
Features
Yes. Tap "Download PDF" on any view and the file lands in your device's downloads, just like any other file. It's formatted and print-ready.
Yes. New modules are added regularly. Your subscription covers everything we release while you're subscribed. No extra charges ever.
Sharing & collaboration
Yes. Modules like Event Planner and Shared Expenses let you invite other people by email. They get access to just that shared space — not your entire account. You stay in control: you can invite as many people as you need and remove them at any time.
Yes. In the Event Planner you can invite a partner, co-organiser, or anyone helping you plan. They'll have access to the full event — guest list, tasks, budget, and timeline — and can update it alongside you. Only you need a paid Nook account; they collaborate for free.
No. Only you need a subscription. You can create as many expense lists as you like, invite friends, family, or roommates by email, and track what everyone owes — all for free on their end. They get access to just that one list, nothing else in your account.
